When you woke up this morning you probably didn't think that saving the rhino would be on your list of things to do...but you would have been wrong. Save the Rhino International has launched a new campaign to raise awareness for the cause and all they want you to do is Nail It For Rhinos.
Just in case your wondering why you should bother worrying about the rhino, the sad fact is that more rhinos than ever are being killed for their horns (which incidentally are made up of exactly the same stuff that our nails are made from!) The rhino horn has no medicinal properties - they are killed for sport, for ego, for vanity.
With only five remaining rhino species, Save The Rhino International has launched the campaign in the hope that we will start to stand up to this devastation.
So, if you want to support the cause and save the rhino, all you have to do is:
1. Paint your clients nails for rhinos get creative!
2. Upload your nail snapshot to social media Twitter, Facebook, Instagram or Pinterest and include the hashtag #nailit4rhinos, or send it to [email protected]
3. Donate £3 to help save rhinos by texting NAIL14 £3 to 70070 or donate online at Rhino Conservation - Save the Rhino.
4. Share your photos with friends or nominate five fellow nail techs to do the same.
5. Visit Rhino Conservation - Save the Rhino to learn more and see if your nail snap has been featured on the website as one of the best.
Simples.
Until then...geek on!
