Significant changes to the sixth London Nailympics, to be held in September this year, have been announced.
First, the organisers point to a huge growth of skilled nail artists as the reason behind the introduction of a new Nail Embellishment category. It is hoped the 1 ½ hour session will be a unique platform upon which to showcase the best in global nail design. The addition means there are a further nine podium places up for grabs: 1st, 2nd, 3rd spots in three skill levels.
Furthermore, a new area called the Competitor Forum has been launched. To be held ahead of the event on Saturday 18 September between 5pm 6pm, it offers all Nailympic entrants a chance to meet the judges to get fully briefed on the judging process and an opportunity to be part of a Q&A with the panel before the competition kicks off.
