Hey Peeps~
I was just wondering if anyone could tell me how they feel about employee situations vs booth renting. I really need to bring someone into my salon to pick up some overflow and I'm not really sure if I should hire an actual 40 hour a week emloyee or if i should bring in a booth renter?!?!?!? HELP!!
Thanks!

There are pros and cons to each and it has been discussed on here before so it is worth a search.

Employee ... The salon owner makes more money and has complete control while the person is employed. You control the hours , the wage, the commission, the product used ... everything. BUT the employee can leave anytime and try to (and will try to ) take as many of YOUR clients with her/him as possible.

Booth renter ... you get a regular income every week and the business belongs to the booth renter. You can try to have as much control as possible, but in fact it is ultimately another's space and that person can use what product they like, work what hours they like and work HOW they like. But being their own business, the chance of their leaving is less. The clients they have belong to them not you.
