Hi there am testing hair that has got alot of colour build up and around a base four with lots of red tones she wants Caramel 8,3 type shades running through. Lifted with 9% bleach in foils didn't lift the undertones as much as I would like but couldn't leave the bleach on too long ( breakage ect) and it only really lifted to a base 7 (very copper too) at te time I only had 8,13 8,3 similar colours in the car so I applied the 8,13 with 6% (xp colours) it looked better but still very warm. She doesn't mind it but for me I would like it cooler and maybe possibly lighter I would be happier. Shall I apply just 8,1 when I'm doing it? Or 7,1 as that's all it's lifting too? Or even anyone got any tips on getting it lighter in the first place ? And please don't suggest matrix as I'm
Mobile thank u! Dxx

This was just a test strand by the way I haven't actually done the hair yet so theres no bleach on it at present x

What condition is her hair in? Can it take full head highlights? Does she still want to keep the dark colour she has?

I'd do full head highlights bleach with 6%, 3% on the back then 6 sides and top.

You can use 8.1 with 1.5 developer as a toner just watch it because it will grab.

Have you ever heard of p01 luo (l'oreal) its fab for a toner but if you use it you need to use the matching developer.

What bleach do you use?

Hair in good condition am
Doing full head highlights but spaces out as she does want to keep original color she just wants it broken up a bit with the lighter. 8.1 In which manufacturer sorry? And if I use 3 or 6% it wont touch it to lift I had to use nine and leave it on for 45 mins to even lift it to a base 7 x x

And use loreal platiz bleach x

swartskoff blondme powder and 9% will shift it more than normal bleach, its really good for lifting and quite quickly too. as for toning copper, us something with a good blue tone content. tigi 8/1 with 8.5vol and develop visually is what i wud use x

Yea I'm definitely gonna use the 8,1 just dno which manufacturer to use. With the tigi one your talking about can that be applied on wet once the bleach is rinsed? It won't lift anywhere I don't want it to will it? Donna which brand are you talking of?. X

Hi hun i presume 8.1 in xp is blue ash. Double check with them to make sure but if it is I'd use that x

Hi I'd like to Bring this up again. I'm mobile so not sure that I can buy matrix? And scotty dolly if i use the tigi 8,1 with the 8.5 developer can I put that straight over once I have rinsed the highlighted hair it won't lift where I don't want it to will it or is it best to pick out the highlights and watch? Anyone else got any opinions ? :) xx
