Hello, looking for help - of course :)

I've had a Biosculpture manicure every 3 weeks for the last 8 years and it has been perfect for me. Unfortunately my technician has left the area, and I can't find another that uses Biosculpture so need advice on what else would be suitable. I have good shape nails, but unfortunately the tips will split and I have psoriasis under so if I catch them when the psoriasis is prevalent they will tend to rip and come off half or even 3 quarters down the nail bed because they are quite brittle. For the 8 years I've had no trouble at all. The only reason for having them redone is regrowth so can only go 3 weeks between sets. Sometimes in the 3rd week the nail tip will peel under the gel, but the gel stays so still looks good. I don't need tips or patches to strength them. However I don't use gloves for cleaning and I ride horses so my nails do tend to get hammered.:o Because of the psoriasis (nail look ugly and ridged) I would previously wear nail vanish all the time and am ok at doing that myself, but nail vanish doesn't protect from the splitting or ripping off (you don't have to "ouch" as it doesn't hurt too much because not attached fully) and I like to have nice looking nails.

So with the above history will Shellac be any good? Or what other products would you suggest or someone in the Bournemouth area that can do biosculpture.

Looking forward to hearing your advice (before they all break :):))

I'm only Bio Sculpture trained, so can't offer advice on other systems - but I suggest jumping on the Bio website and doing a search for your area, or going onto their official UK page and ask for someone in your area to provide contact details - you never know! Other than that, hopefully one of the other ladies can suggest a way forward

Shellac with brisa lite smoothing gel?!

Thanks, I did try the BioSculture website, unfortunately there is only one person registered in Dorset and I can't get there during the weekday. Maybe I should train and pick up the market in this area

The bio sculpture website is a great place to find a recommended person, that doesn't mean there aren't any other techs who trained with Bio. To be on the recommended salon list, you must pass with an A grade, & carry a certain amount of colours.

So, there may still be other bio trained techs in your area. 😊

Bio with the right combination of gels adds strength, as said above you would probably need something under the shellac to add strength.
