Hiya all, I did a one-day eyelash extension course a few weeks ago and am now doing my case studies, but have a few questions if ok as cant seem to be get hold of my tutor at the moment.
Firstly, I was taught to use micropore tape for the bottom lashes and gel eye pads, which was in the kit. I've looked on a few threads and have seen that some people prefer not to use the tape, but I was wondering if there is another kind of tape that I could use, or if its all bog-standard micropore no matter where you buy it from? Its just the two case studies I have done so far, have both complained that the tape hurts when its been taken off. I have tried to remove it as gently as possibly, and have even put a damp cotton pad under the eye to try and slacken it off this way.
Secondly, I'm wondering how do I get a fuller looking set? The two clients I have worked on I have used J curl, 0.20 in the kit, mainly 9's, 11's and 13's. They have come out looking nice and the clients have been happy, but i'm wondering if they were to ask for a fuller looking set, how I'd achieve it...would I need to use thicker lashes or different curls?
Third, Do you charge for removal of the lashes? And if so how much do you charge? I've looked at businesses close to me and they dont seem to say that they charge for removal, but I'm guessing that it could take different times as to how many lashes are left.
Sorry for all of the questions! But any advice/tips would be appreciated.:confused:

Befor applying tape to clients eyelashes stick it to your uNd and remove stick it to your hand again and remove and stick it to your hand and remove the apply to client this takes the sticky of so it doesn't hurt and still keeps lashes down, obviously clean your hands in front of client before doing, regarding a fuller set sometimes if you apply 0.15 you can het a fuller set by applying more and mix ur eyelashes up with j curls and c curls

It's actually the dead skin from the back of your hand that is sticking to the back of the tape and making it appear less sticky so I wouldn't recommend this.

I've recently started using transpore tape. It is sort or perforated so you can tear the length in half to give you a narrow strip. It feels stiffer than micropore tape but feedback from my clients is that it feels much better and removes far easier.

I get it from Lashbase
