Hi there, completly new to all of this and in desperate need of advice.
I am looking into becoming a nail technician and need pointing in the right direction of the best courses in my area. I'm from nottingham and found the NABS has come out on top so far but reading some posts on here they havn't got the best reputation??
The 4 day full service nail technician course sounds perfect for what i am after but can i really be fully qualified and ready to go after just 4 days??
help!!!

Hello

I've looked at the course content and I think that all 4 nail systems (acryllic, gel, silk and fibreglass) along with Manicure, pedicure, nail art, A&P and health and safety would be difficult to learn in four days. Plus you would spend a lot of that time practicing on each other so you would probabally only get less than two days to practice yourself.

450.00 seems a good price, but why are they discounting the course if it so good? remember you also have to buy kits on top of this.

I attended the two day course with NABS 5/6 years ago, I passed (in fact everyone did) but even though I got a certificate that would enable me to be insured and work on members of the public I did not feel confident enough.

Over the two days we did not cover any contraindications, we were given black and white pictures and told to 'look out for these', rebalancing was not demonstrated (as no one had any nails that needed maintenance) and I probabally did ten nails all together over the two days.

I would do a little more research on here, there are plenty more course providers who will give you quality training.
