Hi Iv noticed the last three clients that have been in for an acrylic infill have all have lifting and greenies on a few nails!!!!!!!!! We have a new nail tech she has been on a cnd conversion class... Her prep is thourough she knows the importance of scrub fresh, she is using nail fresh on lift prone clients, her application looks ok and she is using a new non contaminated brush so can anyone help as to why this may be happening x

Have these clients had Infills before? Generally it can be due to not removing all of the lifted areas on the previous infill and therefore moisture has been trapped inside that area.

Your clients may also be going too long between Infills which can make it difficult on a newer nail tech to be able to see the lifted product. This is made even more difficult a task if the client is wearing an opaque powder.

Hope this helps x

Yes they have had I fills before and I don't think she has been leaving old lifting product on but can't be sure on that with every client bit I do think she is filing it down correctly... Could it be anything else as on one lady it was on near enough every finger!!!!!!!!! X

If a file was contaminated wouldn't scrub fresh stop any kind of infection before application? X

I believe not, i always throw files away if i notice any green, i dont use it on any other fingers, just me being over cautious, might of been from a previous client who you didnt notice maybe?

But wouldn't this contradict the process of dealing with a greenie... ie removing product scrub fresh nail and reapply with the satisfaction it has been safely sanitised and will no longer breed... So if a contaminated file had been used first but then scrub fresher this just be the same principle xxx

I didn't think Greenies spread that way?

Also I'd say 100% say there has to be some sort of lifting there for this to be happening. Maybe a product the client is using could be causing it to lift.

Greenies cannot spread they are a stain left from bacteria being trapped underneath the nail extension. Only reason for this is lifting. If maybe try getting the technician to do a nail extension on you so you can watch her application and see how you get on, if she doesn't remove all of the lifted product off the nail anything you put over the top will lift xx
