It has been mentioned about getting the parent to sign a disclaimer but i think even this is dodgy ground as you are dealing with a very young child if anything did happen i think someone could be in a lot of trouble and i wouldnt think a disclaimer would protect them.
Absolutely. You really must find out where your insurance company stands on this. Many will not cover you for treatment on a child under 12 years of age, with or without a disclaimer from the parent. If treatment is absolutely necessary you would probably need to get express permission from your insurers.
