Opinions on waxing and spray tanning please

I have far more demand for waxing than spray tanning, but saying that, im based in a sunbed shop!! lol.

It does all depend on your promotion as has been said already. Both can generate a return on your investment quickly if you are good at what you do and use good quality products. The new service in salons is Teeth Whitening but it is a bigger capital outlay although usually there are leasing options available. It's something that we are about to launch into in the next couple of months due to demand.

i do waxing and will start a airbrushing course which includes spray tanning in february

and i can't wait i am so excited as i feel this will be a good addon to my current services and like everyone has said will be popular with summer coming up

i do quite a lot of waxing all year round

personally i would say do both the courses, if you promote well and are competent eventually you will have a good client base

I have done both, but generate far more income and clients from waxing. There is so little overhead costs involved. 80% of my income comes from waxing... and the majority of my clients come all through the entire year.

Exactly the same for me,do lots of waxing,leg waxing everyhting waxing,makes little difference what time of year it is,our regulars want hair free legs etc whatever time of year.May get the odd one or 2 that dont come as much through the winter but the majority come, come rain,sun or snow.Excellent money earner.:green:

I have been waxing now for about 4-5 years, so have many regulars all the year round, but tend to find that this does change at xmas and in the summer.

I started waxing this summer, and got all my equipment from the spray tan cubicle, it took me 1month to pay off the whole amount, which I was really pleased with, but due to the time of year that has now gone a bit quiet.

I do more waxing than tanning but again I don't really promote the tanning like I should. Once you are trained the cost of buying your waxing equipment is very reasonable in comparison with a good spray tanning kit.
