Hello All

Not been on here for a while...had major nail probs.

I was renting in a nice salon...see previous threads, I put loads of time and effort into the opening night, and getting clients, expanding my treatments and going on courses and was happy. Then I had the incident with the Naughty junior, then the two girls who owned the place started acting funny, organisng nights out and leaving me out, turning music up full blast upstairs when I was working, taking wine and strawberries from the fridge that was meant for my pedicure clients...a whole host of things.

Well I walked out....I took my stuff and left. The two owners then admitted that they had decided they really wanted a coffee machine where my table was so they were glad that I had left but that ghey hoped there were no hard feelings.

So I found somewhere else within a couple of day but rushed into it and did not do much research....Horrible salon, unprofessional, but very friendly staff, and hardly any women customers, just men. So I left within 2 weeks.

So now I am back to good old mobile...earning no where near the same money, so hence, hubby wants me to give up and go find a job so I can help pay mortgage and bills and do mobile in the evenings after work, which is fair enough....but I am gutted I had high hopes.

Ahhhh Angela, you were doing so well, I say tell hubby to give you 1 more month to make it work and give it all you've got, you can't give up hun you have worked damn hard!!!!! My mobile business is doing so well and I know you will hun, don't let things like this stand in your way, you know you have what it takes, these are just little hiccups along the way that make us appreciate what we have and make us work harder for what we want!! I know you've got the balls to keep this up!!!!

Love and hugs sweetheart

Chin up hun!!

Look on the positive side! If you do get another job then that will be another way of advertising your business! You can tell all of the new ladies that you work with, put your leaflets in the staff room etc! I always have different hand creams on mydesk aswell, people love it and that boosts my retail!!!!
I work full time and then I am mobile on an evening! It works well for me and it's brilliant not having to worry to much if I have a quiet week!!
it'll all work out fine and business will be booming before you know it!!!
Best wishes hun!!!

Ahhh..sounds to me like you have had a run of bad luck...so think of it this way...it can only get better..if it makes you feel any better i hate coffee ...xxxx

No-one can say you haven't gave your all...and non of these problems were down to you. You can make good money going mobile..go mad with your advertising and show hubby that you can help out financially. If after 2 months you are not seeing an improvement then maybe seeing if there are any other jobs going...maybe tanning shops, health clubs or nail bars that know how to look after there staff.

I cant think of 1 reason why you wouldn't be successful working either mobile or at a salon..you seem to have everything it takes. Best of luck babes...i hope you get something sorted. xxx

hun things will work out in the end, they always do, big hug to you:hug:

poo pah, what a crappy deal youve had lately. you could look upon th e proper job as being temporary, and resume your nail career as soon as possible.get yourself ready for a re-launch as soon as your new yellow pages is out. meanwhile make as many contacts as you can.

You've had a pretty rough run of luck there mate - some good stuff is due your way now so convince Husband to give you a couple of months to get re-established :D

Good Luck

I have been mobile before but found it really hard to get customers...I used to do leaflet drops and send out 1000's of leaflets and hardly get any customers. Of course I have a client base from being in the salon but I used to pick up tons of walk ins from the salon.

I have been looking around for a property to rent to open my own salon but nothing has come up yet so I shall keep looking but also loook for a job too...maybe some kind of nail bar managers job???

Hope everything works out for the best for you.

Donna
