Hello my fellow geeks,
I've been having some trouble for a lil while now & wondered if anyone is having this same thing & what to do.
Unfor, i don't have a proper pedi chair or foot rest, i'm renting a very small space in a salon. The main thing is, i'm now having some really bad back & shoulder pains after doing pedicures, what should i do?
I've had a pedi stand built when i rented another space, but it's now to big for this one.

I know what you mean!! Having tried pedi chairs of all types, I have found the most comfy way to do a pedi is to have the client on quite a low, arm chair type chair, and I sit on a "step-up stool" the plastic/wooden ones that you use to reach up to tall cupboards etc. I find that the clients foot rested on my lap is at the perfect height and I dont have to bend over them. Its comfy for the client also as their foot is not raised high. Also WATCH YOUR POSTURE!! I found that I craned my neck over when painting, but now i get the client to put their foot flat so I can paint "normally". HTH:lol:

Oh my, i know what you mean with the neck thing.
I'll have a look around the shops tomorrow.

Hi there

Do you use a gaslift chair at your desk? I have found in small spaces these are great.
You can lower them or heighten them to suit , have managed to do pedi's/paint toes etc at my desk this way.

I forgot, dont know if you do treatments that require a couch but I have done Pedi's on the couch before, and again it puts the clients feet at a good height. I use my normal stool at the end of the bed. Might help a bit! Good luck!!

Hi J,
Don't think we got one of those chairs here, as a matter of fact, first time hearing of it.
Got a couch there, maybe that's where i'll do pedis from. Hmmm, thanks ladies. :)
