My novice opinion (which probably doesn't mean much lol.) would be to go in further towards her nose. Her eyebrows don't extend there naturally but I think she needs it.Right, these are my latest attempt at an HD style brow, although I only tinted and plucked and powdered! There's quite a lot that I would probably do differently but her eyebrows weren't the easiest to work with as the brows weren't consistent. I did find that the skin didn't tint as much as I would like though, so out of interest how long do you leave the tint for? I used Refectocil natural brown and removed after around 10 mins and then placed the tint again to along the skin that I felt needed more tinting but only left that for around 5 mins. Any advice would be appreciated xxx
lol I have some clients that avoid really rubbing around the eyebrows to make them last longer, the stain on the skin will last about 4 days, but the colour on the brow 3-4weeks easily, but thats where i train my clients to pencil to still create that tinted look x
Here's my first attempt at my own version of HD brows on myself. Any opinions would be helpful. I've just noticed that i have one eyebrow higher than the other. I have never noticed this before!

I have just waxed, plucked, tinted and eyeshadowed.
Too curved for hd brows. Lovely, but not the same! If you're thinking of doing the course, go for it. Well worth the money and you will learn loads!x
So are HD brows only one shape?

Was thinking the same. If a client wants a HD Brow treatment and she has curved brows, does that mean she cannot receive this as HD don't do curved shapex
I'd check out training with Kim Lawless. As soon as I make enough money back from my business I'm doing a couple of courses with her as she is meant to be amazing. She seems so down to earth too despite her success.I've asked this on another thread too, so sorry for the repetition but I'm interested in either just threading, most probably with these people: Eyebrow Threading Courses | Nails and Beauty Academy. Or, HD brows...What shall I do? I want to offer threading but I'm not sure which one is better? Can someone advise me on HD Brows vs Threading?
Just my tuppence worth!
Can I suggest that your inner edge should be either above the tear duct or even in towards the nose bone a tiny but more. If your client has a wide nose, this will make it look slimmer. Also, the tail end of the brow should be no lower that the lower edge of the inner edge. One more suggestion and that it that you use a lighter tint and make the first part of your brow (from the inner edge to the arch) straight on top and make a gentle slope down to the tail. So difficult to explain in writing but I hope that makes sense.
You can't tint the skin successfully as it will fade or wipe off totally when you cleanse/wash the face. Also, you should tint the brows first and then just tint the skin. If you keep tinting all of the area, the hairs will get darker but the skin will always look lighter.

I've asked my daughter Amy if she help me/show me how to draw over a photo so that I can give you more of an idea what I mean. Don't hold your breath. lolHi Kim, thanks for your feedback. I felt that the lighter brown would have been better but she liked the natural brown which we had used the first time for a normal tint. I found it quite hard to do her brows as they have been seriously over plucked over the years and have a completely random growth pattern. I feel that the end result is too heavy and too dark for her and definitely agree that the starting point should be further in.
I think I get what you're saying about the shape but because of the erratic growth pattern it was hard for me work out the best line to follow, I tried to make them straighter as the last time I tinted her brows I followed the complete hair line which gave her a very rounded and surprised brow look.
I had read in another post that you commented on about tinting the hair first and then the skin which I tried but struggled to get the tint on the skin without getting it on the hairs.

There isn't one brow shape that suits all and you can only work with what they have got but that's the important part. The make up thing is great and I love doing it, but in reality, if your client was any good at that sort of thing, they would be doing their own brows at home. Make the best of what they've got but apply tint and make up for a finished look.
I think you misunderstood me with the tint. What I meant was that you tint the brows in the normal way and when you're happy with the shade and you've wiped the tint off, then re-apply tint but only to the skin where there is no hair at all and leave that on for much longer to try to create a match of colour with the skin and the brow hair. x
