hi,
i have a client who is a natural base 5. We've been using affinage 7/64 but she wants to go much brighter, almost pillarbox red. I don't really want to prelighten using bleach as she's got really fine hair and we've done this before and it wrecks it. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to use? I was thinking of prelightening with a 10 then possibly using majirouge to get an intense red.
Anyone got any ideas? many many thanks!

You can go for L’Oreal majicontrast, it pre-lightens and deposits colour all in one, its used with either 9% or 12%, but its NOT for global application, so you could do some highlights with that and bleed a base colour in-between, something like Wella 66/45 colour touch! its brilliant! But if there is a lot of grey present, it will come out translucent.

Another method is pre-lighten and use a semi- again the Wella 66/45, and then put a true semi on top, like the affinge red ? :)

I love matrix 7rr its almost rhianna red. I use with 6% on afro hair and is bright looks amazing. Its lightens and deposits colour so dont need to use such a strong peroxide

Matrix 7rr is good but if you use their 7rr+ it's even brighter and lasts longer :)

Do a full head of bRed highlights with 10vol and tint in between with 7.6 and 0.6 intensives x

brilliant, thank you! will give the majirouge highlights a go i think.....

for this i always use loreal 6.66 with red mixtone 6% with some majicontrast magenta red or just red foils with 6%, dont use 9% ot 12% with this as it has bleaching agents in it, you will get colour blow and it will wash straight out!!!! Hth x
