hi i am new to this site and after some advice.

im studying for me level 3 hairdressing and familiar with wella colours.
I currenntly have over bleached hair (full head) and have had for years and it has never really grown. I am now looking at maybe going a few shades light like a 9? what pre pig would i have to use on my hair to achieve this colour? i want to be able to just put a colour on my roots instead of bleach.

im also considering going really dark like a 3 or 4 with foils such as a 7 or 8 if the blonde colour still isnt suitable as i really want my hair to get healthy im fed up of it always being broken and damaged every time i do my roots and never growing!

i have no idea what pre pig i would use for any them either so any advice would be appreciated.

thanks!!! xx

Hi,
Firstly your hair IS growing, otherwise you wouldnt have roots! Its just snapping at the ends so youre not getting any length. You really need to invest in some good protien treatments, I reccommend Joico K Pak - its the bomb for breaking hair.
Secondly, to pre pig you need to use a shade higher than desired result and have a red copper pigment. for example, if you wanted a base 4, you would pre pig with 5C and 5R in matrix colour sync.

Base 9? I would go for 9/1 as your main colour of blonde and 4/77 as your highlights; it’s a chocolate brown, a lot of warmth. To prepig you need to work backwards, when you bleach you go from red, to orange, to yellow. so now you need to go from yellow to red to add the warmth back in, so 4/77 would be perfect and if you need to add mixer tone 0/45 (you shouldn’t need it though). PM me if you need any more help :)
