Hi guys im so confused need help. How much do you charge extra for nail lengths and do you charge extra for nail shapes like in America. They charge extra basically for everything. How about swarovski crystals? And hand painted designs? And what would you charge for these i add pic of one of my work. Thank you in advance x x x
Those are soooooo pretty

Thank you everyone for all replies, I'm still thinking to add £2 to £3 for lengths if nails are this long. I can't charge the same price for long and short. It's not fair for me and my products
I don't think it's right to charge for the length particularly.

It's like charging less/more for slim/over weight ladies when tanning...

I have ladies who have super small nail beds and wear nails long but also ladies who have very wide nail beds who have them super short.. You can't charge for each size, surely?

I didnt mean natural nail bed. I ment the length of false nails.

I don't feel it takes any longer to do longer nails, in some cases I'm quicker as I find them easier. I just pick up a larger bead and we all know our cost per service so the difference in product isn't much.

If like the picture she's doing longer length and it requires an extra 10 swarovskis or more product in general then does it make it OK to charge more due to the length? I get why some do charge but I think it's a personal option

I work only with hard gel and for me it takes twice as much or even more product then for short nails. And gel is much dearer then acrylic. That is why i had this question. I talked to my educator and she said yes I can add little price up for long nails.

Thats the thing i do not charge extra if client wants gel polish over extensions. Mostly nail tech charge extra for that. I just think it's fair for me and clients. Dunno maybe I'm wrong x

What about the extra product you use? You're giving it away? X

It's stilettos that take most time for me, luckily I don't do many.

I know you didn't but the same rule would apply, you'd be using more/same acrylic doing short and fat as you would skinny and long so I don't think it's right to charge more, how would you judge the amount of acrylic used.

I think if you're charging everything else accordingly it'll all even itself out but I wouldn't want to go to someone who is penny pinching on a couple of millimetres of nail...

Same! All my sets are similar timing (within 5 minutes) I don't get how this would be worked out tbh.

To not charge for gel polish then charge for the length seems a bit odd tbh. There's a lot more extra investment into using gel polish than a bit of extra gel/acrylic length. Personally I would charge the same for the length but start charging for gel polish. It's a lot easier for clients to understand xxx

I'm sorry guys but I disagree with you can't charge these the same. Its not like I'm adding a fortune its just £2. And about gel polish i feel like not everyone have a lot of money and they still want nails. What i will leave them plaine? I dont think so i give them a colour.

I don't leave them plain, if they want a colour but not gel polish then I give them coloured acrylic.
I've bought 46 bottles of Cuccio gel polish this week and there's no way I'd be applying that on every set for free.

How much do you charge for gel polish?

Then how much do you charge for encapsulation glitter foils hand painted designs?

Encapsulation £5, glitter on top of gel polish £2 or £3. Swarovski crystals are priced individually.
I don't do hand painted designs

With me, varnish is free, altho not many choose it as you have to wait to dry obv. Anything other than the bare nail extensions is extra

I understand but then all together in the end it's quite expensive. Ladies how much would you charge for these 3pic i posted. At the momemt i work only with hard gel and full set starts from £30 and infills from £25 x x
