I understand but then all together in the end it's quite expensive. Ladies how much would you charge for these 3pic i posted. At the momemt i work only with hard gel and full set starts from £30 and infills from £25 x x
For the first ones you'd posted with the glitter and hand painting I'd charge £35.
My basic single colour L&P starts at £25 but most of my clients pay £32-£35 for a new set.
My infills start at £18 but clients usually pay £25-£27

Zane does a lot of free hand art so it's hard to price that up

I'm sorry guys but I disagree with you can't charge these the same. Its not like I'm adding a fortune its just £2. And about gel polish i feel like not everyone have a lot of money and they still want nails. What i will leave them plaine? I dont think so i give them a colour.
I would charge both of these at £34...

If they were infills they're always £3 less than the full set version.

Ignoring the glitter/polish, these both are applied using 3 beads of acrylic.

The long ones are on very small nails with hardly any nail bed but they're nearly the full tip length whereas the other lady has long wide nail beds but keeps her nails short.

I'm not really sure how you would decide at which point a nail is long or short, it's much easier to charge for what actual products are used - I would be extremely offended if someone said they would charge me more for having wide nails just the same as if they had a cut off point on what's Classed as long/short...

Never said that i would charge how natural nails look like. I was saying about nail extensions when people want really long nails. And when i use more product.

I find pricing anything outwith the norm difficult too.
My clients often want lots of Swarovski crystals and I'm struggling to find a price to offer them.
I know how much they cost and how much time they take to apply but I don't want to price them too high.

For swarovski i carge £3per full nail or 0.08 pence for single crystal . Just calculate how much do you spend on them how many they are in packet. For example if they cost £10 for 144. 10÷144 and then add few pence for your work .

I've been adding a lot more than that [emoji33] I hope I haven't been overcharging.
Doesn't it take you a while to cover a full nail? I charge more for my time than I do for the product.

Well I'm not good at making price list as you can see i struggle . It's just i think everything else is quite expensive. It doesn't take much time for me. I make sure that crystals are on the right side and to be picked up quick and easy.

Sorry, off track here, but your nails are really beautiful! So perfect! I don't offer acrylic or hard gel extensions, just natural nails as I don't really have the demand for extensions, but I like getting acrylic extensions myself occasionally. Wish you lived nearer me!

Im starting this off again... so if its £5 extra for gel polish on top of enhancements then how much would you charge for a gel Polish if you were to do a spa mani or luxury manicure?? Would it be the same?
My regular gel polish is £25.. id really appreciate your advice as i suck at pricing up

Hi all, can I just ask....how do you worth out the cost of the extensions in the first place. Ie how many sets out of a bottle of gel, sanitatation spray etc. How do you work out the cost it costs you so you can work out profit margin?

I add £10 if I am adding gel polish to extensions, and the same if I am adding to a mani/pedi. I charge £28 for a standalone treatment.

The cuticle work is carried out within the mani/pedi, which saves on time/cost within the polish and it covers my product cost.

Your distributor will be able to give you a cost per service breakdown :)

Thanks ive emailed them xx

Zane, how do you take such amazing pictures. They are amazing quality and the lighting in perfect. X

I charge a base price of £35 for acrylic extensions with gel polish, whatever shape or length, to me I find it takes the same amount of time and barely any/ minimal extra acrylic or gel. Free nail art (glitter/ sequin discs etc) free on two nails, for marbling or water colour I charge £1 per nail or £5 for a full set of marbling on top of acrylics. Hand drawn nail art I charge per nail, and Swarovski crystals all depends on size of crystal picked and the amount they want.

Your work is very lovely!!! In the US you could charge $65-$85 for the first 3 pics you posted. I don't think you are charging enough! Even that simple blue set should be around $50. Charge for shape, gel polish, designs, crystals, length. Get the money you deserve!!
