Hi ladies, I was wondering if i could get some professional help on my recent experience on a trip to a hair salon!!
I hadn't had my hair cut for a year (normally dye it myself) so I decided to treat myself and go to a salon! My hair is dark brown but it also haf some plum in it from a previous dye! I took some pics in of a couple of styles i liked! They wre dark browns with some very faint blonde highlights underneath!!

Straight away i was told i wouldn't achieve this look straight away as I needed to get rid of the purple 1st (which is fair enough) then she just decided with an another colleague what she was going to do and went ahead and did it!! She was applying to colours to my hair one had green in it apparently which was to neutralise and get rid of the purple and the other colour was a brown which went on my roots !!

She got a girl to wash my hair and a she was blowdrying it I noticed I still had roots gingery yellow roots so it hadn't taken to my roots for whatever reason!! She spoke to the manager and said it could be easily sorted... I was upset by this point but the manager was sooo rude and not consoling at all... :(

This next part is where I need advice as I am slightly worried that this shouldn't be done but i may be wrong :/

After my hair was all dry and straightened the manager then applied more hair dye to my dry roots and used hair straighteners over the top of wet dye to apparently seal on the colour !! iS this normal ??!! I it safe? Tjrn washed my roots and blow dried and straightened again. My hair is now slightly damaged (short snapped ends on top)
No apology no discount or anything x
What shall I do? Xxx thanks

No this is not normal practise for root colour!! And as you have breakage that's just disgusting they did this!

Don't get me wrong I use this technique when applying purple/blue fashion colour but only on the ends of hair!!

Thankyou! Should i complain to her?! I had done 2weeks ago so am i too late? X the noise it made was horrific x

Personally as its been 2 weeks they will more than likely put the breakage down to you! You can try but I doubt they'd do anything! Find a new salon and purchase leave in strengthening products c
