Hi everyone

I'm actually a nail tech registered on this site but wondered if the hairdressers amongst you could give me some advice. I have today had a digital perm done which looks amazing and I'm extremely pleased with it. The hairdresser has told me to buy special protein shampoo and conditioner to wash my hair as he says if it is one with too much moisturiser in it it will make it too soft and that's why I always had problems before with making my hairstyles stay in. They didn't have any in stock in the salon but I told him I had a Salon Services card and I'd try to get some from there.

However, I went straight to Salon Services and couldn't find ANYTHING that said it had protein in it. I needed to buy something urgently though for when I do need to wash my hair in a couple of days and ended up buying Beyond the Zone Pro Formula Noodle Head Shampoo and Condition for Curly Hair. Hoping this will be OK but could anyone give any advice please?

Also for next time could anyone recommend the best protein shampoo and conditioner for me to buy please?

Many thanks.

Id give the salon a ring if i was you and just double check with your stylist before you use the shampoo you've bought! Shampoo for curly hair normally contains a smoothing formula so may not be the best idea for your perm...other than that im not familiar with digital perms (yet!) so just ask your stylist specifically which one you need to purchase
