Hi I’m wondering if anyone can help me?! I wanted to rent a chair in a salon but unfortunately don’t have a huge clientele. So I was wondering weather anyone else has done this and succeeded and made a good enough profit. And also I was wondering if anyone has succeeded how do they promote themselves? I haven’t got a big clientele because my current work where I am employed everyone shares clients. TIA x

Hi Beth, if you are interested in renting a chair in a salon near you, check out our website, as for building your clientele, the only advice I have to offer is to use social media to your advantage, set up instagram, facebook, even twitter pages and regularly promote you service with posts and stories etc. also asking your current clients when they come in to recommend a friend is also good practice! Word of mouth is one of the most effective ways of advertising! Anyway, I wish you all the best on your mission!!

Hi Beth , we recently had a new girl start and was very slow at first however we are a busy reputable salon and she built up in no time . When you 1st start out don’t be disheartened and you will have quiet times . Stick at it and use every social media platform available and you will get there . Good luck with it all x

Hi Beth
I decided to return working in a salon setting, I didn’t have any clientele as I took a break in my career, at first I was a little worried renting a chair and building a clientele . My advice find a salon that suits you and just go for it. I decided to rent a chair in a seniors residence and also always me to have an outside clientele. There were many days of no clients and wondering if I made the right choice...I’ve now been here 3 yrs and every month my income is improving...

Thanks everyone, I’m thinking of doing a Tuesday rent a chair but keep the same days at my other job until I have enough to support myself. Does anyone know if I can make a Facebook page but hide it from my boss? As she wouldn’t approve of me doing it
