Help. So I have a client.

Her natural is close to a 731 (Loreal swatch.)

I was going to balayage ends and root stretch. As she wants it lighter but less maintenance.

She has a pretty obvious regrowth. Would diarichesse cover this demarcation?

Was thinking 731 on root and 71 on the rest?

Or would I be better doing a colour melt?

Is there much difference in colour melt and root stretch?

I've always been sorely disappointed when using the dia's. But I think that's down to my lack of knowledge.

Pictures to follow

I don't know anything about dia sorry but I would use the 7.1 all the way and balyage after you've applied the root, I drag it down each section as I go through to put the balayage in (I don't know if that has a name?)

So, you wouldn't do the root stretch then wash dry and go back and balayage?

No I always do it in one go, i find a fresh batch of tint is more effective fro dragging down too, by the time you've applied the root colour & started balaging it's been in the bowl a bit too long so a fresh batch is good to blend with :)

So, maybe apply 7.1 at root and smudge over demarcation line. Start balayaging the ends. Then maybe smudge 8.1 into the 7.1 and lightener?

I'd just use 7.1 x

Would u just 7.1 the roots, balyage the ends the finally use 8.1 in between the 7.1 and balyaged bits smudging them together?

It's all done. Just used 7.1 and balayaged.
