Sorry for being stupid,do you have to remove the shine before applying shellac please ?

You do not need to remove the shine or buff when using CND Shellac.

Have you got to use scrub free though please?

Yes you have to use scrub fresh to cleanse the nail plate to give the shellac the best chance of adhering to the nail plate x

Ok thank you,and do you need to file top bit off before removing them in remover please,or just wrap in foil Wraps and remover x

Have you done any training? All of this is covered by the class

Along time ago lol

Probably a good idea to get your course notes out and refresh your knowledge if you e forgotten all the basics.

I finished my shellac course this week and it's so comprehensive and came with a cnd shellac book to keep so I can look back on if I need it. I would recommend a refresher as things change all the time :)

I would suggest you need to retrain as reading your profile you have been asking these types of questions since 2008, in between asking about training courses. Have you actually done CND shellac training or any gel polish training? Sorry to sound harsh, it's just that it's hard to believe that anyone would forget the 'no buff with shellac' or scrub fresh, seeing as it is an important part of pep.

I did the creative conversion course, but not the shellac,it wasn't much around when I did this course it was just the acrylic I did

I have asked if anyone knows of any nail forums where I can get help ,with out being told off all the time, and be littled .

There are loads of nail forums; this one is for professionals only. I sat patiently and read pretty much every post for four years before I could afford my CND training, and am now patiently doing the same till I can afford to do a gel polish course! Everyone on this forum has worked, trained practised and saved hard to be able to afford to be a professional nail tech. I'm sure if you went to your doctors asking for tips on how to diagnose a health problem they'd be rather peeved too...

Have you a manicure certificate traylouise?

Yes I've did my 2 years training in beauty therapy level 2 and 3 not just a 2 day course.

If you have a manicure certificate you can do a CND Shellac conversion course. Contact S2 and they will be able to provide you with details.

You need to know the product not just how to use it.

I agree a course is recommended and unless they've gone up a lot since I did mine, very good value and well worth it.

However there are plenty of geeks on here who hold only a mani certificate and legitimately purchase CND shellac as that's the only requirement as far as I'm aware, to be able to purchase it.

I think one or two replies are a little harsh

Ok, I don't want to cause upset so I have deleted my comments. However I think there is a difference to being legitimately able to purchase a product and being trained in a product.
I will leave further commenting, as I'm sure the op is now aware that her best bet is to be trained.
