I'm really tempted to invest in the Shellac summer collection with LED lamp. I currently use Gelish, Gel II and artistic colour gloss but am keen to add Shellac. However it is costly and will mean I then own three lamps. I know I can't use my other lamps for Shellac but can I use the Shellac lamp for the others??

Eeeek, what do I do

Why do you have to use so many brands?

I use several brands as well. I don't see a problem if you stick with the system.

Why not use different brands. They al have different colour options. And shellac is different to the other which are gel polishes.

I use 2, not 4. It just seems a bit of an overkill to me! But then again, I've only started investing just a short while ago and I haven't expanded much. Perhaps you are right.

Hi, I love shellac. Shellac is different to the brands you currently use. I would strongly recommend if you do invest, use their LED lamp to be sure that you are getting a complete cure. Using any other lamp will. It gurantee it's cured, even if it appears so. I can. I can not comment on other brands lamps as they are made to cure their own brands. X

I think shellac is like marmite you either love it or hate it :p Personally i am not a lover of shellac at all but there are many that love it! I use gelish, artistic and mani-q and i love them and think they do a better job. How come you want to invest, just for a change? :)

Well I took the plunge, with the deal of the day when it was on offer it was to tempting!

I'm going to be completely honest here, I've invested heavily in shellac and whilst I think it's good for decent nails, it's not great for thin/bendy nails unless over something like gel or acrylic.

I've spent so much on the system and have so many colours (which I obv keep replacing) that I'm kind of locked in! And i do like it, but it remains my least profitable service by a long way.

If I was choosing a system now, I'm not sure I would go with shellac as there are soooo many good ones now. But I might![emoji5]️

I have bought some gellux colours (plus base & top) which works fab for thin nails, I have about 12.

I wouldn't offer more ranges i don't think, I never mix products from different ranges and couldn't justify buying base, tops etc and maybe lamps as well from several different places, plus p&p would add up.

Me too, I was/am a CND girl through and through, but no matter what I do, there are a good number of my clients who just can't keep Shellac on.

I've branched out into Gel2 which I'm having fairly good success with and have about 30 colours of.

I'm also trialling Madam Glam at the moment on me and two of my worst 'offenders' - it's not a pro brand but I instantly loved it when I did my nail pops for testing. I liked it so much I removed my nails and redid them in Madam Glam there and then.....usually it takes me a week of steeling myself to do my nails, but I just couldn't wait to try it.

I think it's perfectly acceptable to have a range of products, as we all know, no one product is right for all customers, however, more than 2 or 3 and I think it starts to look like you have no faith in any of them. Your confidence in your products, brands and skills are what gives your clients confidence in you and their service.
