Hi all,

Would like some advice from any Geeks who currently use a electric split leg couch. I do various treatments massage, beauty, nails etc. and currently use a Darley couch for massage/facials etc. and a comfy chair for pedicures. I have been thinking of investing in an electric/electronic split leg couch and would really like to hear from anyone that uses one. I've looked at Beautelle and cosmetronic couches (only on the web/brochures etc.) not actually touched/tried etc. So my question is, do you use one....and if so are they really suitable for all treatments. Are they comfortable/suitable for massage i.e. good enough for all heights weights of clients and are they comfortable for pedicure and do they sit upright enough for the clients feet to be placed in a pedicure bowl (I use the Footsie spa). Any feedback would be really appreciated.

Thanks

Diane

Does anyone have one of these couches and can give advice? Thanks

Probably no use to you at all but I don't have the split leg couch but I do have an electric couch, bought last year after my first back operation. It has 3 motors so that the back and leg sections go up and down independently and it is the best thing I have ever bought. I can adjust the overall height of the couch and, as I said, adjust the position of the clients head/shoulders and legs.

For pedicures I put the back up and legs down and it turns into a chair, I then adjust the height to high and sit with my clients feet at exactly the correct height to prevent me from bending at all. Brilliant! :green:

Thanks shedunlop, that is really useful, its good to know that someone is using something similar and is pleased with their investment. What is the make of the electric couch that you use?

I got mine from Therapy 2000 online. They do have one of the split leg ones you are talking about on offer at the moment, I just had a look for you he he!! You will find them at Therapy 2000, Welcome to Therapy 2000 :green:

Thanks so much for your help........I shall take a look......I feel a spending spree coming on!!

I meant to say last night actually that this company delivered my couch just after my back op last year and because of this they sent 2 men and even put it in place for me. They were so helpful I can't sing their praises enough. It was delivered within a couple of days as well so no waiting around and the quality of the couch is really good. My clients love it and think it is the most comfortable couch out of the 3 I have had. :green:

Thanks shedunlop, really appreciate your advice. Having taken a fresh look at my options I am beginning to think that the split leg model may not be necessary. Which couch did you purchase from Therapy 2000 ?

Thanks
Diane
