It depends on how much each client spends and how many hours you work each week. On average 3 clients an evening . So 12 clients a week on average .
Take the figure that you need to live on and the figure you make per client times up the figure per client untill you reach your needed figure and however many clients that is that's your figureQuestion for me is (same boat here) how many customers would you need on average to be able to live of it. Being able to pay the rent ?
Sorry for the late reply ! Yes I have a weakened job. Which fits in around my family life. I feel like I want to get to a level where I feel really proud of my work before I do it on clients. I do take pride in doing it on friends and family as well. I think it's completely different working from home /mobile then starting a new career full time . I hope by next year to stop the weekend job the target is to make what I would at my current job . I feel I have a few hurdles to jump over first with getting my confidence and skills up. I might buy a practice hand . I have been up loading on instragram too my name is Makeupbystephaniefrances . What's your fb page I will like it. I know we live in different areas but other people can see if I like or comment on stuff on your page .I have been promoting on Facebook and am getting quite a few bookings which is promising. The only thing is fitting them in around my kids and my existing job but I am determined to push myself and fit people in when I can as my goal is to do this full time after my contract at the school ends in August. I have not registered self employed yet (obviously fully insured though). That is my next step-how does it work when you have an additional job too?
I feel nervous too it's because we want to sucess. What I am doing is charging a smaller rate and telling friends I am doing for less until I get my speed up. I have been getting friends /family to come to me pretty much every evening asking for a small fee. I feel it helps to get used to how it would be like when clients come over.Hi everyone!
I have just completed a brief of mail courses and a couple more yet to do. I intend to go self employed as mobile nail tech. How did you go about setting up as a business? My main concern is about spending lots of money on becoming a business and then not getting enough clients and failing after a few months! Once I have established myself I hope to add in more beauty treatments such as facials, eyebrows, eyelashes, massages and waxing (over time). I'm so nervous as I've never run a business and I too have spent the last 12 years since I was 18 in a completely different job! At the minute I'm just working part time in my regular job and hope to build up enough trade to one day give that up completely!! I feel like it's a minefield but hoping it's a lot easier than I think at the minute to get started!! Eeek! Good luck to you both, you sound very clued up! Hope you can through some advice this way too!
my speed has got better . It's good to talk to other newbysI think we just need to push ourselves we know what we are capable of and we are good at what we do otherwise we wouldn't be doing it [emoji4] that is a good idea just build up slowly, practice more and don't charge too high at the beginning.
Me! I'm working full time at the moment in a non beauty job that I hate. I have completed upto l3 at college and am now planning my mobile business with the aim to make enough money to not return to my other job after the school summer hols. I am just beginning to get bookings and have an appointment next week about how to set up self employed. Xxx
