Hi all,

It's really starting to bug me now when I have to do strand tests and have to mix the tiniest bit of colour up, do u guys measure the colour correctly, use quater tubes or just guess? Feel like I'm constantly waisting bits of colour and then say I use that tube for another colour my measurements are all wrong

Just want to know what other people did when it came to strand test also I heard some people charge to do then is this true?

Thanks!

I mix 5ml of each and always like to get enough hair to get a good result from.
We dont charge for strand testing
or fringe trims if its a regular client,or coffee from our v expensive machine that gives the best maltesers hot chocolate and cappachino or latte,or the use of our microwave to heat their lunch,or the phone,or the internet........
Mmmm clients are spoilt in our salon lol!:wink2:

I just use a tiny dab of colour maybe 1/4 an inch and a drop or 2 peroxide, no measuring, dosent seem to affect my measurements after as my mum usually has the odds of tubes mixed up and put on her hair. And no I don't charge. As for fringe cuts, yes I do charge my minimum call out charge of £10 (mobile) the clients don't get to use my phone, my personal phone is a iPhone and they can't even touch it neverind use Internet, but I do take a flask of hot water, coffee, tea, milk and sugar and cups, a little treat that we can have drinks and they don't have to wash up, also iv been to one house that put me off clients cups forever... I could see coffee drips on the cup that had been used and not washed before I used it so I made myself busy so I didn't have to drink it xoxo

Good idea to take your own drinks. I used to go to a house years ago that had drip marks from the previous user on the cup and chips too Yuk!!
