Hi im almost finished my training and have been using opaque tips. They have a well so ive been blending as i was taught. However its taking me around 2 hrs 45 mins for each set of enhancements. My question is what does every1 think of white tips without a well? Should i stick to what im doing?

Hi Sharon, I find it depends on what look the client wants. If they want a natural set then stick to blending opaque tips, if they want French or coloured tips or all over colour, I like to use the white tips from NSI that have a small well but you don't need to blend them - can't quite remember what they're called.

Hope that helps :)

I have a few different types here but havnt used them yet. Im just thinking what looks best. For a french look ive been using pink n white acrylic r gel. But r the white tips for a french look popular??

I use the white tips with white acrylic or gel over, so do the majority of techs round here. I find it makes things easier as you get a definitive line between the pink and white anyways so why not take advantage and use a white tip.

You just need to be careful you don't put your acrylic primer onto the tip as it can tinge it slightly yellow.

I suppose it's all personal preference and you'll soon figure out what does and doesn't work for you.

Thanks appreciate all the advice i can get lol. X
