Hi, i took a career break for a year when i had my daughter & only recently started working again. When i done a set of gel extensions yesterday, 2 have come off already. They seemed to have broken/snapped where the tip is applied. Would this be down to my blending of the tip, the gel, glue, the actual tip itself??? Anyone any suggestions? Many thanks

Insufficient product at the stress area, classic issue with gel as it self levels it creates flat nails, you need to ensure the apex snd spine are correctly placed. There is no strength in the tips, strength comes from the gel.

Maybe consider a refresher course, or digging out previous course notes

Thank you! I have a refresher course booked for the end of the month. This was just a set i done on myself before i went.
Hopefully that will help, as i just cant remember how i would strengthen the stress area with self levelling gel without making the whole nail very thick
Its mad how much u can fall back in a year

Your course will cover it hopefully, if not its a great question to ask as the others will need to know too its a basic element of gel application
