Hey geeks, me again

So we've gone from 130+ guests next year, to 40+ guests this year, and hey presto its Fri 13th and I've got major wedding blues today. We've worked out our finances and its going to be such a squeeze for us although my darling BF is ever positive and says we'll pull it off (bless him xx). I've scoured the net for dresses, flowers, photographers etc I think I've actually managed to rip the fun out of this.

I actually feel like changing my mind (again) and going back to the date we agreed on next year but still sticking with the 40 guests, just to ease the pressure off us financially. I don't want us to leave ourselves completely potless and have a rubbish summer, but I really do want to marry him!!

At this stage I would gladly run off to some deserted island and get it done, just the two of us. If I hear the word "wedding" again I think I may just throw up. All I want to do is say I do!

Any help geeks?

this is the feeling no one tells you about when you are planning a wedding
hope your ok, could you take a few weeks off from doing anything wedding related? i organised my wedding in 6 weeks (admittedly due to my mum being very ill) so it can be done with not much notice (and on a budget!), and it sounds like you have done your sums.

If you want to do it next year, do it next year! you will marry your OH no matter wether it is tomorrow or 2016 so dont let anyone make you feel pressured.
when i went on honeymoon to the dominican republic there were a lot of couples getting married there, it looked lovely! they had a few family who stayed a week, and the couple stayed another week alone.

do what makes YOU happy and if thats 40 people next year then do it!! Gretna Green is only a drive away aswell lol

big hugs xox

Thanks hun xx unfortunately i think running away is out of the question as we genuinely do want a few of our nearest and dearest there and not everyone can travel (nan, dad etc). I never wanted a long engagement but realistically we could do with a years savings to do it comfortably. Just wish it was tomorrow so we could finally be married, without all the rubbish!! X

you could do it tomorrow! well maybe next week lol, registry office with family, lovely meal, party at night! in the words of gordon ramsey, DONE!
1 year isnt too bad though.... if thats the time you need then why not :D xxx

Yes indeed as another geekie said this is the part they never tell you about! Give yourself a break step away from the computer (i know how hard that is believe me) and do something else you enjoy for a bit, it will help i promise. I had all the same feelings as you all you want to do is get wed!

We didnt have much cash at all but we used a bday and xmas money to help out as well. I cantvtell you how many freak outs i had about flowers ffs! I wasnt going to have a bouquet at all then mum and sister said i should and literally drove myself made. I certainly did not and was not going to spend the earth on flowers. In the end i thought outside the box and had a hand made artificial flower corsage with a fuscia pink orchid, feather and pear wrist bracelet and button holes to match. Lol reading that back it sounds hideous and tacky... It wasnt it was different. Corsage and two botton holes cost me £20 including postage. My point being is if your worried about the cost think outside the box because sometimes you get something very different and unique that is great on the budget.

Try not to be too down lovey i had days where i actually dont know how my pc didnt end up out the window. Weddings are hard work however big or small but dont forget why your doing it honey. Make your day unique all that blood sweat and tears are all worth it in the end.

Love n hugs

Ps i warn you now chosing the ceremony songs will drive you nuts lmao!!!
