Why do so many people view the threads but dont give a reply?

To be totally brutally honest, sometimes I look at the question and if I find it very very basic (as in should have known if have attended a class) I look at the profile. If it isn't filled in properly I don't respond, or I ask if they would fill in their profile....

And often some of the questions have been asked again and again, so if I can do a search and find loads of posts that answer the question when I'm foreign, then so can the poster.

This is a professional site, but as many have mentioned it is run by us the members, who give out advice for free in our free time, so if people cannot be bothered to do a search first, then I cannot be bothered to answer.

And then there is the times were I cannot express myself correctly in english, and I do want people to be able to get my point:lol:

Hi hun!

I view lots of threads but don't always answer. This is usually because i feel somebody has already answered sufficiently so for me to post a reply saying 'yes i agree' seems pointless.

I also like to view threads about things i'm not trained in such as eyelash extensions for example, this is because as i work in a salon that offers this treatment and also a training academy that teaches it, i learn quite alot of helpful hints on here therefore i feel i am armed to answer clients questions best i can while i'm working.

Can i ask, do you reply to every thread you view? If not, why not?
