Ahh, didn't realise. At least you have done some before but you will need to be quite strict with your guests & remember that you're in charge so to speak. You will need to keep an eye on your timings and if need be, be quite bossy, but in a nice way, iykwim, lol.

Having a list of who is having what done helps to keep things organised.

If it does go all pear shaped & take longer than planned, then you can learn from it & perhaps simplify your next pamper parties.

hi millytint, just as a thought at my last pamper party i took a load of colour pops (you know the sticks you put nail art on) and several paints and lots of nail arty bits and pieces and as the others were waiting I got them to decorate a stick, it went down a storm !!!!

ahh i dont actually have any of those yet! (i dont do much nail art) but its definately a good idea and i am sure i will give it a go! thanks for that

As you know this is my first party and i really want it to go well. As its my first party i can pay you £x amounts per hour, can you help me, I really think that this could bring us all a lot of future business ??????????????????????????????????????

And if that dont work advertise on the recruitment section and please really think about how much you are willing to give them for 5 hours work..........................£6 is not enough xxxxx

oh i know, its just thats what i have been paid for such a long time that i dont even know how much a typical experienced beauty therapists wage should be these days lol, i was thinking more along the lines of £10 an hour, its just as we've already discussed.... thats what they paid me so why should i pay them any more than that! i will try what you have suggested tomorrow and let you know... will have to rehearse for this lol

lol because unless you can whistle a couple of therpaist that you know and trust and know the quality of their work, your stuffed ! Look at the long term objective from this not the money ! You want repeats , good word of mouth this will pay dividends in the end ! It will also focus you to see other therapists who are up and coming and start to get a black book together !

Most companys that do pamper parties and employ self employed therapists pay £15-£30 per hour.
I've been paid £30 per hour before! Loved it!

have a look at some of the recent recruitment posts, there are at least two new posters loking for qualified, experienced and insured therapists for pamper parties nationwide. One poster is offering between £ 19-£23 per hour.

I probably have the wrong end of the stick here, but it occurred to me that your two therapists will be promoting themselves big time if they are opening a salon (as mentioned in your first post). Fantastic opportunity with a captive audience! I know I am just a suspicous cynical old cow!
