Oni sorry this is really basic and I'm just checking lol but you do rest both arms on the table don't you? And press pinkies together for balance? Xx
I rest my pinky on the table and with the hand I am not painting with I hold the clients finger out to me to get close . I brought a extra table rest to put underneath my hand I am painting with for extra support . I've have also tried resting my pinky on my other hand that this holding clients hand this is the way I was taught . I will try balancing both pinkies together thank you x I am thinking of getting rid of the hand rest as it quite high and clients move hand backwards to rest and I have to keep pulling them towards me . How do you hold clients finger if you use whole left hand to hold around right hand ?Sometimes I hold my right hand wrist with my whole left hand in order to really steady it.

Ok I see now thank you xx I have gave it a try yes the hand I am painting feels secure . A bit award to do thumb because they tilt to the side . Maybe I paint thumb last after curing the four fingers . What do you think ?the clients hand is just resting on the table or pillow or something.I only do this tho when I need ro so something more precise, for example Im normally crap at dotting unless I do this.
Thank you for the advice , I will keep trying and hopefully in time my confidence will stop the shaking . It's nice to know other people have also gone through shaking too . I was supposed to be enjoying this but finding I am dreading clients booking . But you and everyone else is right it takes time and I am just going to push myself through it . XxHi Oni, many of us suffered from shaking in the beginning, it's quite normal. There's such intense focus on what you are doing from both you and the client, nowhere to hide and a big light shining down on what you're doing and at such close proximity to your client!
Try and be ready with 5 minutes spare and do some deep breathing before your client arrives, clear your mind and focus on how well you are going to do. I used to shake in the beginning, but always managed to get a good result as I would clean away wobbles with a brush dipped in CND Nailfresh (I still do!) This gave me confidence.
Just remember that the more you paint, the easier it will become and you will overcome the shakes is with time, and as your confidence grows. It will pass and until it does, try not to worry about the shaking, just see it as part of the process. People don't even notice, honestly!
