SHALL WE CALL THIS THE SARCASTIC GEEK WEBSITE THEN???

Thought we were adults on here?

I thought the purpose was to advise in a constructive way and guide others who are new to the whole idea and finding their way(even if they are not doing things the right way just yet as others feel they should:confused:), its all about learning and taking on board info, but when others are sarcastic I dont think its the right way, it just gets others backs up.

All techs have to start from the bottom so to speak and make mistakes along the way, NO ONE is perfect, it takes time, and yes shes using the wrong lamp, but its on herself and if she wants un cured nails and over exposure then its up to her, it would be a different story if she was out there doing nails on clients, shes just practising, then she will buy the lamp, but its her choice!

i totally give up!

Listen I totally agree we should be using the Brisa lamp and doing the training etc etc, but not everyone can do it by the book, everyones situation is different and unfortunately people are missing the point here:confused:.

I posted for a little help at the mo, and I was going to buy the lamp and do the training as soon as I am 100 % sure Im not allergic to BRISA ,which is very soon, before I spend more money again for nothing! Unfortunately I had a bad allergy response today so there you go, Im allergic to BRISA so good job I didnt buy the lamp:cry: Been sneezing all day and on antihistamines and trying to cope in college with a runny nose feel like my heart has been ripped out as I love this industry, hope it never happens to anyone else!

But he ho thats life! Just wanted to say I know Brisa needs the Brisa lamp and training, but dont be so ready to jump in with sarcasim its upsetting when in a difficult situation, you need to know the full story, If someone was doing brisa gels on clients or lots of family etc without adequate training or the lamp then yes not good, but for a creative tech trying it on herself a couple of times its not the end of the world is it:grr::grr:
cheers

No, we shall call this a site for salon professionals who help and advise each other as best they can.

We are!

The purpose is also to listen to the advice given and to take it if the advice that is given is proven fact (which in this case it is), when that advice isn't taken then sometimes members feel like they're banging their heads against a brick wall.

Ok, the way I see it is this... you want to ensure that you're not allergic to a system, however, you don't seem to mind over exposing yourself to uncured gel in the meantime... so if you don't show any allergy to the gel you don't mind not being able to use it in the future due to being previously over exposed?

You would be better off going to have a set of Brisa nails done by a Brisa technician rather than risk over exposing yourself to uncured gel, and it will be uncured gel as Brisa doesn't cure with any other lamp.
That's the point that's been missed here and the advice given on this thread has been top notch.
If you're suffering today from a reaction (ie nose running etc) then you need to find out which ingredient it is that you're using that's causing the allergy/sensitivity, ask your doctor to send you for allergy testing.

On that note, I'm closing the thread because we're going round in circles...
