Awww thank you....

One thing....find a meeting with a leader who will really help you....even if you might need to go further afield....

Make sure your leader sees you as a person and valued member....not someone who makes up the numbers and earns them money....

and stay to the meetings....as much as possible anyway....
the best 'losers' were those that stayed to my meetings....xxxxxxx

Yes i think it was one of the reasons i stopped going... the leader was always rushing us all. It was a very busy meeting.

One thing i have discovered helps.. is Fibresure. its a powder fibre product that can be added to food and drinks.

this is good for me as i am a coeliac, cant eat wheat, so its difficult for me to eat lots of fibre.

When I was in the UK I went to a very busy meeting...
I was weighed by an assistant and never met the leader ever apart from when she stood at the front to take the meeting...
I was a nobody and was paying out money for what I could essentially do myself at home....fair to say I didn't stick it out

I had a some very busy meetings myself aswell as some smaller meetings....but I made sure I was the one who weighed everyone personally....and made sure I knew everyones name....
In my meeting I would make sure there was a lot of member interaction....not just me waffling on forever....
but most of all....it had to be fun aswell as informative....
We would have some incredible laughs....often going way off topic....but it helped them to keep coming back which in return helped their weight loss...

Great tip about the fibresure too...xxxxx

Wow this is all fantastic...
Mercades you are a total Gem

I just found out my neighbour go's to the class my friend weighs at,
(my friend grabbed my neighbours hand and said "I know them nails...they are Emma's work" ) They don't know each other so needless to say my neighbour was a bit spooked lol

So I may start going along with her.

That is so handy to know about the ww points vs normal food points,
I have one of them little paper slider things here, I will have to keep it in my handbag...

I am starving now because I haven't a clue what to eat lol,
Not good

God I am only on day 3 and I am struggling big time...
The food I am eating is not really a problem, I prefer healthy foods to junk foods,
Its the habit of not just grabbing a chocolate biscuit etc...I can't cope with lol

And the working out what to eat..It's hard to all of a sudden work out my food...
My sister won't sell me her punch bag the horrorbag,

I am determind though, If I haven't lost weight this week I wont be too worried because I am still getting my head around it all,
and I still havent swapped my sugar for sweetener,

I had a look at the ready meals today but I don't like the look of them, so won't be buying them at all...
I am a basic food eater, not a cook lol, so I shall be working out how to eat the same, but adapt to suit my points.

I have just made some toasties with ww bread. ham ad cheese.
I weighed it out and thought "my god it isn't going to fill me up at all"
But it did and I am surprised...
I am craving something sweet now though...

Whats the best way to make smoothies ?
I can't remember how

DUST.......anybody??.........no??.........DUST

Sorry, Couldnt resist:lol:

Anyone who knows me will know that I am NOT a fan of diets, and please dont think I'm a skinny minnie who can sit on her ivory tower, that's just not the case. I just dont like the idea of cutting things out of your diet and much prefer the method of eating a healthy balanced diet without counting calories/points/sins/whatever, and taking plenty of exercise.

HOWEVER...... I do quite like the weight watchers diet, it doesnt exclude anything like a lot of diets do, so you can still lose weight whilst eating a balanced diet. I'll tell you another one I like aswell, the Rosemary Conley GI diet. I lost nearly 3 stone last year on her diet, again she doesnt cut anything out, you do have daily allowances for some things such as milk which really did me good because I never before considered the empty calories you get from things such as coffee. Also, she does state that if you dont/cant drink this daily allowance, you must make up your daily calcium from something else such as a yogurt, so she makes sure you are getting a good balanced diet. The recipes in the GI book are delicious, and even though I am not dieting any more I still cook a lot of her recipes as family meals, my lot love them and they dont even realise they are diet recipes!

This is what I like about the likes of slimming world,
Your not confined to eating salad and veg only...if you want the chocolate...have the chocolate.
Just keep a track of how much you are putting in your mouth lol.

I tend to loose weight when I am conscious of what I am eating,
I still eat, I just realise what I am putting into my mouth.
When I am not on a "plan" I don't realise just how much I am eating.
I can go to the cupboard without thinking and grab 3 biscuits and do the same an hour and a half later without even realising I am doing it, or remembering how often I have done it.

When I am on a plan, I can think "do I really want this biscuit...nope ??"
So I will leave it. If I do really want it, I will have it. But make sure I only have the one and enjoy it, rather than shoving 3 down, and not even noticing.

I am lucky in a way that I LOVE healthy food's, I just go through phases where I forget that, and get too carried up in the biscuit and crisps diet lol.

It's more about frame of mind for me I think,
But as I can't cook, I like having a plan that says "if you want that ready meal its xxxx points...have it !

Rather than
Cook 3 sticks of asparagus, and 2 ginger root sticks, add some parsley and a chopped blah de blah...WTF lol,

I am very confused at the moment though as to what I can eat
I like having a big dinner when hollyoaks is on...I like being stuffed while I watch the soaps lmao..
And all I can think of at the moment is VEG veg and more veg followed by an apple
I know I need to join a class really, but I don't want to as I will have to take the kid's with me for the next 6 weeks ...

I do however want to give weight watchers a go,
as although I know slimming world inside out, I did get bored of it.

I can't do it .....
I am bored, I don't know what to eat....I can't eat enough...I am bored...
I am gunna have to revert back to ol' faithful slimming world me thinks :( (don't worry I won't start a "who's on slimming world" thread lol )
Thankyou to all that have helped me though.
I may wake up tomorrow with a different veiw and decide to grab the bull by the horns, and try again,
But for now I am hungry...my dinner was a load of rubbish...and I long for a MASSIVE bowl of pasta

Ive been on a diet for 5 weeks now (started it when i packed the **** in - and by the way, im still off the ****) and havent lost a bloody ounce - slimming world dont work for me, i put weight on the last time i tried it, so think i may try WW. i need to lose 11 lbs in 10 weeks. im eating loads of fish, salad, fruit, not alot of carbs, as i dont (and never have) big on them, have even thought of doing a crash diet to hopefully get me kick started but dont know what - im fed up with it, i HAVE to lose weight, otherwise ill look like a bloody beached whale, when i go to mexico

HELP

I have tried all sorts of diets throughout my life - with more or less success - sometimes they worked but then you put more on afterwards and sometimes you are fighting every single minute of the day trying not to think of all the food you want to eat!

I love eating and I enjoy every bit of it (not too much into chocolates and cream cakes but love cheese on toast and biscuits and anything that comes in between, especially pasta bakes :O)))
Oh and my glass of wine would count high in calories also .......

I have tried all the different diets and I hated being stuck with only certain foods or "not now" or "not that one" when you feel hungry and you fancy just that one to eat......Cant stand being starving and having a rumbling tummy so I had to find a different way...

What I have found worked best for me is exercise......and I know what you are all saying "its boring" and "cant stand it".....I found its only the first few days then it becomes like an addiction (from one addiction to another) and because I know I can eat whatever I want I love it!
I have the telly on while I pedal away, catching up on favourite soaps and sometimes the time would be up by the soap is still running so you do a bit more!

Funny thing is that I have not only lost the weight when I started but lost inches (especially around bum and thighs where I was build like a horse before)...and have friends who have done it similar and the inches just droped at almost a size every 2-3 weeks......We all love our food and now we can enjoy it...what a bargain!

To be its the real treat that I can eat what I want and when I want, enjoy life and dont have to by special food or count calories as long as I do some exercise a few times a week - for a food lover like me defenetely better than any diet!!
