I have people not pay all the time, or paying about a week later so annoying, also sold 3 dresses all brand new with the price tags on at around £50 a dress, sold for 99p each, to the same buyer with postage of £2 each, buyer demanded I combine postage so she ended up getting £150 worth of dresses for £5 including delivery!

I agree eBay can be very frustrating I recently sold a lipstick which was unused buyer opened case saying it was used and she wanted a full refund but would not send it back to me, eBay was in her favour so she got to keep lipstick plus got a full refund :( oh and she left neg feedback! There is a lot of scams on there at the moment ive had enough of it not worth the stress lol also seems every person I speak to has had a bad experience on there.

I've used ebay a great deal in the past and my experience has been mixed but largely good.

However after taking all the fees etc into account I really can't be bothered for anything less than £5.

Due to several "non arrivals", I now pay the extra 85p or so to send everything by Recorded delivery so they can't say it hasn't arrived. Because if they claim not to have received the item, you HAVE to refund postage and packaging and the cost of the item, plus of course, you have lost your item.

Now I'm sure things occasionally get lost in the post but the number of times this has happened is a little suspicious. I sold a dress which was over £100 new, I sold it for £44 on ebay, didn't send recorded (early ebaying days) and when it apparently didnt arrive I had to refund on everything, plus of course, no dress.

Just my thoughts, good luck x

Be very clear on your listing!! I eBay all the time and out every single detail, every single mark on the item etc. loads of pictures. Ive had about 2/3 people complain in the last few years so not so bad! Still managed to keep all positive feedback. It's great when it works but those few headaches can be awful!

I've had a mixed experience with eBay both as a seller and a buyer.
I've brought something that didn't arrive so I had a refund then a month later it arrived but it was a fake and broke because it was bad quality, I didn't pay less for it and had no idea it was fake I only brought it from eBay because it was a computer game toy that my son wanted which I couldn't get in a shop

In the same week I brought some invitations for a party 3 weeks later they hadn't arrived so they sent some more which still to this date have never arrived it was only £4 but still £4 that I spent with nothing to show for it

I brought a Nail trainer hand with no back to it and fingers missing which I got refunded but cost me £10 in postage

My sister sold a brand new with labels shirt then she had a message to say the thread on one of the buttons was lose and wanted a refund and the shirt arrived back with no labels smelling of washing powder

I just can't be bothered with eBay anymore, too much hassle

I sold a lash ext sealant. Brand new, just surplus stock. Girl bought it, then SIX weeks later, said it wasn't new and had been used. I was livid. eBay refunded her in full, despite my arguments. She finally sent back a used, opened sealant.
Bad Karma to her.
Will be glad to get shot of all my beauty equipment though, as it seems most therapists on there expect brand new for buttons. I have to stop for a while, calm down, then start again!

Yes Persianista, know what you mean. Not every buyer is honest and ebay always refund returns if they have been used or not. Very frustrating if you are trying to earn a living at selling.

If buying you can get bargains. But recently we ordered 2 items and only one came through the post which we signed for. Trying to prove that you only got one item and not two is difficult. Not all sellers are honest either, sadly.

The moto should be "buyers & sellers beware".

I sold a bag they kept it for a week then sent back and it stunk!!! Really smoky and yuck! It was an expensive bag to!

But then I bought a coat worn once! Well like I said was not fit for my jumble bag!! Bobbles, stains and it stunk!!

When I sell an item I'm 100% honest and have 800 positive feedback. But once again I sold a bag last week, they didn't want it so sent back but said if I don't refund both post costs they will neg me!
Charming!
Feel like I'm just dealing with idiots at the moment and it's losing it's appeal big time!
I have been on there for ten years though so have also had great bargains ect x

I sell most of my stuff on facebook selling sites. No fees and all locals! X

Same happened to me with a t-shirt there was nothing wrong with it and he threatens to come to my house and demand the money back as he wouldn't return it to me for a refund

Be very carful when ordering from china or Korea. as a lot if stuff dosent end up through the post. and if your a animal lover and want a fur coat or anything always ask the seller if it's real fur but a lot of clothes shop in Asia they skin animals alive in china for fur it's evil and vile!
