I've just had the benefit of talking to 3 marketing companies courtesy of business link.
they picked up on the fact that although I had a logo (made by Carl - extentionize), and used it throughout my website, it seemed to be missing from my usual marketing items.

I use
tri-fold pamphlets
regularly order postcards to advertise special offers
business cards
compliment slips
letterheads
invoices
receipts
posters
certificates (which does contain my logo)
gift vouchers

On looking at them, their is no common theme to distinguish 'at a glance' that they are from my company apart from my name printed somewhere on them.

I got carl to design my certificate which is a work of art.
I have now got him to design a letterhead for me which can double up as receipts/invoices, etc.

I have now re-ordered my business cards with my logo on, and also some window decals.

I've also started reordering my trifolds with the logos in. Its going to take some time to re-order everything, but hopefully, when people see my logo, it will be instantly identifable with me and my company.

Its one of those little but important thing isn't it? I have my new logo (thank you Carl!) on everything. I think it also looks professional and make you look professional too so it's well worth paying out to get the look imo.:)

Hi Can someone pass on details of Carl please as I am looking for someone to design a new logo for another website of mine.

Thanks

Many thanks Hippychick!:)

"branding" is alot more than a logo, it's an unmistakable familiarity with what you do and what you stand for.

defintely Carl, but it starts with something being recognisable, so all paperwork should have yur 'mark' on it.

and then your clients should have your mark on them too (in a service kinda fashion) ..... it's taken me many years to achieve this and it makes me very happy to know my clients have an invisible tattoo/brand that says "Nailzoo/Carl" (either that or they are all wearing zebra striped knickers to show their loyalty) :) and some of em do
