Has anyone used the cloud 9 wand , is it better than the others on the market ? I do love the irons and Even prefer them to the GHD ...

Weve got one at work. I don't think that its any better than any other wand with a variable heat setting..... it looks nice haha and is pretty chunky but I dont think I'd spend that much on one if I had to buy :-/ (If they're still around £100)

On the other hand, I love the irons! They are like ghd's with their missing part - The heat control!

A rep brought the Cloud 9 straighteners in the other week. A stylist tried them out on my hair. They just seem to be the same as any other quality ones. Also the same with the wand.

The owner did however purchase the Opod (heated rollers which heat up in 4 seconds) then keep heating when in the hair. They are great. Not sure they are worth the price though. Around £200 for the pod and about 14 rollers!
Just my opinion though of course.

Ive used both the cloud nines and the Opod. O Pod is great but def overpriced. The cloud nines I never liked, we used them for well over a year and didnt take long to find faults with them.

I agree about theO too, its overpriced and also I find that the larger rollers are very heavy also the clips are pretty rubbish. But i love the result it gives and use it quite alot.

Not really a fan of the O .. The rollers are defo too heavy ! I have a yogi wand which I'm not too keen on so was thinking of replacing as I like the look of the cloud 9 wand . I heard it gives lovely big waves ..?

I defo does give big waves but it's cone shaped too so it depends how you use it. But I don't think it's any better than others out on the market for half the price. Big ghd's give a lovely big curl too.

I love the cloud nine wand , you can get lots of great varying results and it heats up really quickly , I do agree that it's a bit pricey , my sister has a cheaper smaller wand and has had some lovely results , you just have to allow the curl to drop a little to achieve a softer look

Love the O but it is pricey! Haven't tried the wand, prefer ghd's to the cloud nine flat iron

Hi All you lovelies!

I am currently retraining and want to buy a good set of straighteners. I asked about GHD's and yes everyone I know in the industry is still recommending them hugely. I was told I should get the original size with temperature control so for different hair types the temp can be altered. Is this a standard in GHD's? i.e is it on all of their straighteners?

Any advice is hugely apprciated.

K x;)

No ghds have heat control, ghds are between 185-190 that's it!!

Any hotter you fry hair any lower doesn't keep it straight! Would you cook a chicken on 230 degrees! I think not!! So why your hair

Thanks Blurinse

soooooo....any constructive advice on my quest for purchasing straighteners for professional use?
