Hi i am really interested in adding this service to my salon , please can anyone give me your feedback on this method as i havnt heard a lot about this method, looks fab though ?

Also where does the best training for this ? thanks x

I'd avoid cold fusion like the plague as it is just so damaging to the natural hair on removal. I'd consider micro weft instead - only takes about 20 mins more to install and much much safer!!

I considered cold fusion - why is it so damaging on removal please Snazzy, what is different to removal of other bonded methods x

the wefts are glued in on strips and are almost impossible to remove. The glue used is basically super glue, have heard terrible stories about people sticking their hands together. On removal more often than not the natural hair breaks where the weft has been leaving very short bits in the natural hair - definately go with micro wefting far safer. x

I'm not sure that the OP is referring to cold glue wefts, I may be wrong but I think they mean the cold fusion ultrasonic which is removed exactly the same as hot fusion and prebonds.

Hi DGextensions

I do cold fusion and it is a good method if you have clients that don't want heat used but it is a little more time consuming than hot melt. hth x

not cold glue strips snazzy i am on about cold fusion ultrasonic hair extension method :) i am also trained in micro ring weft extensions and micro rings so would like to offer this as another service xx

I was looking into this too, but did a few on my friends hair but thought do you take the sections the same size, i found that i had to take them smaller. By taking them smaller i though you would need more then 200 bonds for a full head. How many do you apply???

I use the welf with copper beads, I'm sure someone has thought this up before me but I made it up myself and to me it is the best it's like the sew in without braids and string your hair in a row 2 strands up one under beaded through the welf and a finger length apart grows out with there hair

sabrina we arnt talking about wefts hun cold fusion hair extensions are single strand method the ultrasonic method

I would really like to find out a little more about this mthod as there doesnt seem a lot of info on the web about it ?? x

What is it that you want to know?

It. Won't be on the web I made it up after trying all different ways to do extensions and not being please with any email me at [email protected] and I will explain to u how I do it it has made my business double bc it simply has no way to damage the hair

Also I understand this is not about welfs I was letting others know that there are better ways out there that do not take hours to do with 200 and up strands, wow

How are they removed?

Sabrina, I think the method you are referring to is called micro weft in the UK. I offer them using wefted hair and silicone lined micro rings :D xx

I take them the same size as you need to make sure there is enough hair to safely support the extension

Same as you would prebonded hot fusion. They are the same pre bonds just a different method of melting using ultrasonic waves instead of heat.

Thanks, So acetone will get them out then?

Thanks, will have a play on a model :)

I love cold fusion hair extensions, I just recently did thread about this method. The shape of the bond is more flat and maybe it takes bit more time to apply but, the bonds are very secure. I have one celeb client and she loves this type of extensions , I think if you will add thus service you will only gain:)
