Hey :) popping over from nail geek or some advice...

I bleach my hair blonde. Naturally ime really really dark so it takes a lot of bleach to get it the blonde i am. I dont get it done to often as its always really busy at work and hard to fit me in when i need it, so this also means i cant get it cut as often as i want :(

I went for a cut today and she told me that its really damaged, not just from not having it cut but the amount of bleach ive used. Ive also used a live xxl platinum blonde a few weeks ago on it. It doesnt snap that much but its exteremly dry and gets notty no matter how much i brush it :(

I deep condition it once a week, (sleeping in conditioner then washing it out) and ive got some argon oil coming this week that ime going to use every day when ive washed it :). (I also rarly use any heat on it, i wash it before i go bed and sleep with it wet, wear it up for college and it only gets strateneed when i go out every few weeks into town)

Wondered if any one had any advice on what i could use on it apart from what ime already doing to try and keep it in a decent condition so i dont have to keep cutting it all of :(

argan oil, i swear by it x

thankyou, could i use argon oil with a leave in conditioner aswell? or is that too much? xxxxxxxxx

Sounds like your trying everything hun what treatment do you use? the oil should help I swear by moroccan oil x

I have the same problem with dry hair damaged from bleach. Iv been recommended Wella self heating mask. Iv been using it a couple of days and my hair looks and feels better. It also has argon oil in it. X

You wont need leave in conditioner too, do as your are and just add argan/moroccan oil after washing to damp hair , you should notice an improvement soon x

Dont use xxl! If your hair is already bleached no more bleach should go near it except on the roots. If you want to tone it use a purple shampoo or a toner, but dont keep bleaching it to make it white. The best thing to do would be have a pro do your roots for you. Also straighteners are awful on bleached hair, best to avoid them as much as possible.

Alan Howard sells it as does salon services. I got mine from HB from Bolton but not sure if they have other stores. Anywhere that sells Wella should have it. It's really good. It warms up on your hair after 3 seconds. I leave it on for 5 mins then rinse. I don't dry my hair with a hair dryer but I do use straighteners alot as my hair is short. Might have to stop them for a while :( x

Fudge clean blonde silver shampoo is reaaally good, very strong. Not sure i can recommend a proper toner as you're not a hair geek but if you bought some of the fudge shampoo and applied it only to the roots for 5 mins and then rinsed it out that would probably word quite well. As i said its very strong and takes quickly so avoid getting it on the more damaged parts of your hair as they would go lilac instantly xx

thanks, ill go get some :) i never use a hairdryer anymore unless ime getting my hair cut and they blow dry it, other than that i stay well away!!! lucky ive got long hair!!!! xxxx

Umm not really its quite drying but thats because most of them contain sulfates and are meant to give the hair a good cleanse too to as dirty hair looks more yellow. As long as you use a good conditioner after it should be fine.

ohh right :) thanks :) xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I use macardemia oil which is great however i think in this instance you may need to try a keratin treatment to rebuild the hair properly, Keratin Complex infusion is a fantastic product, you can apply it as a treatment say once a week after you wash it, apply the treatment leave it on for half an hour then blowdry it in, every other time you wash it use it as a styling product put it on and blowdry straight away, you can even put some through ur ends etc after it has been blow dryed, it contains 14% natural keratin which is pretty high compared to most keratin products, you will see real results from it, it replaces the natural keratin back to the hair and makes it stronger and is great on bleached hair

I have the matrix one, even after a good condition my hair feels really tuggy after it, dont use it that often for that fact

Joico products have been brilliant for my bleached hair. Really helps repair it. Has to be deep conditioned once a week, without fail. It only takes one use of the straighteners to undo all the repair work I've done, so don't use them at all on bleached hair.

L'Oreal have just launched FIBERCEUTIC in the UK (has been available from France for a year or so). When I say "just launched", we've literally put it on sale this week! :)

Haven't had any feedback from customers yet, but if L'Oreal's claims are to be believed then it could work wonders for your hair. It's an in-salon treatment only (so you'll need to find a salon that offers it) and its repairing effects should last for up to 10 washes.

Daily Mail and Vogue have all reviewed it positively, calling it "Botox for your hair".

Hope you find a solution.
xx

thankyou :) ill have a look into them and see what i can afford :) xxxxxxx
