Heya,
I currently have dark brown hair which is pretty much black at the ends and I'm looking to lighten it to light brown with golden tones through the lengths which is more my natural colour.
My only problem is that whenever I've stripped the artificial colour out my hair stays dark/reddish at the ends which is understandable as its been dyed for years and i have tried only applying the colour remover to the darkest parts and this doesn't work either.
I'm thinking about pre lightening it so that I can apply a light brown base for the golden tones as bleach seems to be the only option now but not sure weather to use the bleach bathing method with 30 vol? As I want the pre lightening to be as even as it can be.
My 2nd option would be highlights as they wouldn't go brilliant blonde on my hair anyway and just keep building them up every 6-8 weeks but the problem with this is I don't want it to end up blonde all over as I only really want subtle golden tones?
