No problem, I have been too busy today to do one of my nails but have a quieter day tomorrow so will get on the case then :green:
Fifi, if you had a great nail tech like mine you would have ten gorgeous nails:lol::lol::lol:

I ask what they want and also give my opinion. I show them before and afters of my work and that helps them decide. I personally love a slightly extended nail bed.

Hi!

I was also taught to use the cuticle shape as a guide.

I have noticed people who don't regularly have their nails done tend to have them in a 'natural' shape for them as i assume they must just grow like this & they tidy them up a bit.

I have noticed a lot of older clients ask for 'almond' or round where as the younger people ask for square.. On the whole they actually want 'squoval' and then i end up rounding them all off! My own nails are this shape so now i tend to say 'do you like this shape?' (if they ask for square) and if they says yes i do that

Some people also dont know what the different shapes are & would like to know or they ask for what i think will look best.

As people have said previously if they are insistant on a shape i don't think will suit i will do it for them- its their preference after all.

I also always make them look at their hands how i look at their hands so they can see how i see them- simply from the amount of times people in the past have turned their hand round & say 'this isn't straight/round/square' & i have said 'well it is from my side!' :)
