Hello! Right, i need some help with wording my extension services. :)

I am going to be offering Balmain (who i trained with) for my luxury hair extensions & lush us for my budget, but i dont know how to word the lush us hair as 'budget' will put people off :/ any advice on this?

Also, how many maintanence apps do you recommend for the 3 months they are in?

Thanks! Amy xx

I wouldn't call them budget I'd call them 'classic' Indian remy. Always sounds nice but you know it's the low end from Luxury or a brand name. :) I do 2 maintenances 1 a month on lush us but I also say if they need me or I feel that they need an additional that we can arrange it. I also ask that sometime on the second week they call or text me or I call them just to see how they are getting on. X

Ahh i see! Yeah i didnt want to use the word budget but i was hitting my head off a brick wall trying to think of another word that was suitable!

I wrote down my maintanence plan & had put apps at monthly intervals so im glad to hear you do that too. Do you find your clients commit to these? Also how much are you charging to take them out? Im thinking £10-15? Including a wash too? Xx

I get all kind of clients the ones who don't want to spend money won't do it so I was thinking about taking a deposit cus it is so so so important! Then people who generally want them will stick to them and look after them and I've had a few girls who get them fitting for one night usually a Saturday and then say something was wrong with them and want them out on Sunday obviously just wanting them for a night out but I got stung with that one and had to refund loads of money as I didn't look into it and after talking to my trainer she said it can be common and that I should have charged for the removal and refunded nothing... So there you go, I'm a good judge of character you can tell by the amount people pay and their interest in prolonging their life are the ones who will be good loyal customers, just a skill you may need to pick up :) really hope this helps. It's very frustrating when people don't have maintenances cus if people know you did it and see their hair in a bad state it's your reputation!

Ok so micro rings only take roughly an hour to remove, so yes price find just include for shampoo and stuff and secondly prebonded take a lot longer to remove sometimes longer than the fitting depending on their condition (another reason to push maintenances) so id charge it hourly or like £20 first hour and £10 every hour after just an example.

Hope this helps, bit of an essay sorry x

Also if anyone has any ideas about how to make sure or encourage clients to have maintenances I would be very grateful as I struggle with clients looking for a cheap head of hair x

Thanks for the info! I know we cant MAKE people come to maintanence apps but how about saying it when they come for consultation 'its highly recommended that you can make main'apps so that your extensions are looking their best etc...'. How about adding the first app in with the cost of the service & say its free? Just so you know they are getting the first one done & they only need to come for one more then its removal afterthat? Hmmm i dunno just an idea thats popped in pto my head aha xx

Yeah it's hard cus you can't force them and without taking a deposit doesn't mean they will turn up regardless on how much you tell them.

That's what I do. First maintenance check is free... but actually it's already been included in the initial fitting price :D

And that way, they can see for themselves how well having them maintained keeps their extensions looking great for longer and are more likely to book in for the next appointment!

10-15 for removal? I charge at least 40 but if put in same day by me it's free.

Is this possible with bonds providing hair is in good condition or are you better to rest the hair? Xx
