Have to agree with a lot Babsann has said. To do a professional job you must have the right tools. I cringe when I read the way this is being carried out. However you learn and move on - if using wax straight from the pot I think orange sticks give a great wax as the angled end allows a good line to be applied on the skin where a 'coffee' stick is flat and more difficult to get a good line IMO:) However I use the C&E applicators and always get a good result. Good luck with your next client.

Maybe I didn't make myself clear, I said the coffee stirrers that are in Macdonalds - for me they work perfect, I will continue to use those for eyebrows.
But I never said I stole them. I buy mine from catering wholesalers where I buy products for our other business (catering). They are fully packaged and I would expect just as clean as any bought in a beauty wholesalers.
The person asked for advice, so I don't like being slated for just giving a tip that works for me.
Makes me remember why I don't bother too much anymore to reply to threads.
Will PM in future any help I can give to those just starting off.
I can afford to buy what I like and always do.

I've bought the thinner spatulas from Sally's before and they look just like coffee stirrers.
