So I’ve had a couple of clients not 100% happy with the nails I did for them in my salon.

1 lady said she had shellac on, she clearly did not so it took longer than usual to get off, I then put the colour and glitter on that she wanted and then complained that it wasn’t what she wanted.

The other client wasn’t happy with the finish on some shellac I did for them.

Both clients I checked they were happy before they left and they said yes!! It’s so annoying because I haven’t been working there for long and don’t want them to think I am **** :(

I did a leg wax today as well and I won’t be surprised if the lady complains as she was super hairy and I did my best to get it all out but there were tiny hairs that wouldn’t come out which I did explain to her.

I am really doubting myself now and feel like ****

Well don’t! Leg hairs are always in different stages of their hair cycle, so if some are only tiny anagen hairs the wax not pick them up, so if someone’s going away it’s a good idea to get them to come to you for a leg wax twice- that way on your first wax you can tell what stage the majority of the hairs are in, and advise the second appointment in 2/3/4 weeks when you are more likely to catch most of the hairs in the new anagen stage, and therefore she’ll be hair free for longer.
I always advise my clients that they’ll still have some baby hairs following their first wax, and if they want to shave them they can, but it’s better to give them another week or two’s growth and come back.

Re the nails, if they have stated they like them in the salon what’s causing them to change their minds now?!
Ask if they’d like to come in for a re-polish (immediately- not when it’s grown out and due for a re-polish do they can have a freebie!).
Have they told you directly or put something negative on social media?

Thanks for your reply!

I don’t know people suck! It’s not public, it’s on the feedback system for the salon and that doesn’t go on social media
