Hi all this is a new client who's nails I did a week ago, this has just happened whilst ironing? Is it likely my error or client error do you think? I'm redoing tomorrow but just wondering what's happened. Thank you x

Hmmmm! From that picture there is no white marks or damage on the natural nail which implies the product wasn't particularly well adhered to the surface of the nail. If it was well bonded it would have caused damage as it came away.

That said it's stress area broken which means she's out it under pressure, probably whilst wet/damp so at its more vulnerable

I'd say 60% tech, 40% client

I'd replace for free first time but that's it

Are they a nno or a gel polish?

Thank you yes I agree it looks like it's come off far to easily, I will scrub scrub and scrub again for today's prep. I used a bonder just on the tips last time but will cover the nail this time. It's ilac from ink London- a hybrid gel. Will update later once I've checked all the others. X

Be careful with using a bonder (unless its part of the system) as you can cause removal problems at their return visit. Most Gel Polishes don't require a bonder, they're more for L&P/Gel extensions. I've read on here of techs using Youngs Protien Bond under Gel Polish then struggling to remove it.

It's all part of the same system, ink London, and air dry bonder I'm not finding its affecting removal tbh xx

Update: nail replace foc all others fully intact ... Phew!
