Hey just wanted to share a little gelicure love..

I have a customer who comes back every 4 weeks with perfect nails lol

Last month had one wee chip

Yesterday she came back and no chip, perfect nails, just had grown out and needed total redone

Amazing and when gelicure comes off her nails are in fabulous condition - a beautiful nail plate in excellent condition

I would love all my customers to be like this

Is this a regular client? Do her nails usually last?

Peeling would suggest layers a bit thick - BUT- you do gelicure so much that thats not likely.

I dunno I'd be looking to it being something the customer did - was there extra long hot baths etc - or worst did she peel it off? I mean the gelicure doesnt peel itself off lol

She's had Gelicure toes before with no problems, but this is her first finger application. I know I can genuinely trust her though, I gave her all of her aftercare and I believe her when she says that she followed it all. She's just out of hospital a few weeks after suffering from pneumonia, but I've went through her medication with her and there doesn't seem to be anything that would affect her nails :-/ I re-did them for her on Tuesday and told her to keep me posted xx

Black Gelicure layered with Electric Touch and diamanté bows... Thanks for the inspiration, Perfect10!! :) xx ImageUploadedBySalonGeek1335639863.540611.jpg

Lovely! How many layers of black Sarah? I'm planning on putting this on my nails tomorrow.

Perhaps after being poorly and the meds, her nails just arent acepting the product or she has very oily nails. Even though they did stay on her toes, but then most peeps are fine with toes..... as for trusting that she didn't do anything to compromise them, I'm a suspicious one - my sis let me believe for months that I was doing her bad nails and it actually transpired that she'd been picking/peeling and chewing them the whole time! Couldn't believe she didn't own up to it in the first place! I think she convinced herself that she wasn't doing anything wrong... until my mum shopped her!

On the subject of gelicure - has anyone tried: one layer of a la mode topped with one layer of purple power?? Ooh la la - beautiful deep fuschia - clients loving it! :) xx

I've got black & et on my nails - love it although think next time I will do 3 layers of black.

I allow 1.5hrs for removal & re-Gelicure also. It takes 1-1hr 15mins usually but I have the odd client that it sticks to like glue. I buff to break the top coat seal, wrap using magi wraps and then place in heated mitts for 15 minutes. I remove one hand after that time and work on one nail at a time, un wrapping, remove and cuticle work. Can't seem to get any faster.

Exactly what I do!
Hum not sure what to do have a few ladies wanting to come in their lunch hour do you think an infill would be quicker on these occasions?! :/

Yes I think I agree with you in terms of her being ill and meds she was on in hospital. I applied her new Gelicure last Tuesday and I've just noticed that she uploaded a photo of them onto Facebook today... All looking perfect thank God!!

Thanks :) xx

I book myself out for 1 hour 15 minutes. I don't use heated mitts as I don't find a huge difference to be honest. I make my clients a cup of tea and give them a few magazines whilst they're soaking off, and I've found no difference in results when using the mitts, plus they can't read or drink their tea!! I let them soak off for 15 minutes and once I've checked they're warm, comfortable and happy, I leave them to do an eyebrow wax, spray tan, etc.

Does everyone apply Step 2 all over the nail? I do, and find it a nightmare to soak off, but I'm scared of only applying it to the free edge and then it coming off!! I might experiment on myself tomorrow...

Speaking of experiments, I had a little play today, what do you all think? It's Honeysuckle with Purple Power tips and Electric Touch applied all over. Xx

I've never done an infill so I'm not sure :-/ I find with my clients that they want a new colour, so I've alway just soaked it off :-/ xx

I also worry about this too! What is the best way of applying step 2? With the best way of making it last longer.
