Has anyone qualified in Hairdressing as a part time student??

Did you work in a salon as soon as you qualified?? Did you go mobile?? If so how did you get your clients??

Hi I was part time, went once a week. I had to put a lot of extra work in to feel confident. I was lucky as I worked in a salon as beautician and whenever I had free time I went and helped in hair, I left the salon and went mobile, I was lucky my beauty clients followed me and since that I have now gained them for hair/beauty together x

i was a part time college student and really struggled to find a job when i left so i worked in a barbers (i also did an evening a week in my second year to complete barbering)

its been nearly two years now and i still havent secured a ladies salon job to say im gutted is an understatement as its what ive always wanted to do, my confidence is at an all time low but i wont let it beat me and i will carry on looking/applying - in the mean time i do hair for friends and family

i wish id searched for a voluntry position in a ladies salon while at college one day a week as oposed to the barbers which is how i started there.. then maybe things would have been different?

Why don't you try volunteering now? in a ladies salon?x
