Hi iv been doing hair extensions for a while now but I did a maintenance check yesterday and the client has been loving her hair I did pre bonded and none had came out but I noticed there was 4 bonds that had slid down the hair so obviously I removed these but was just wondering what has caused that the client has looked after the extensions and all the other ones were good so clearly been something iv done I was thinking maybe I haven't took enough of the natural hair ?never seen that before with my work so looking for advice thanks x

Its natural for some to fall out or slide down. When i did my training with balmain, they said that 10% off the bonds can fall out so dont worry you arnt doing anything wrong :) if they were sliding out as soon as you were fitting them, then you would have a problem aha xx

Ann thanks a lot I was just wondering maybe if it was something I had did lol thanks for the reassurance xx

The main reason why is slides is either there was some residue on her hair like shampoo, conditioner or hair products so the bonds didn't bond properly to the hair. Or the client colored her hair recently which can impact as well therefore proper consulttations are vital. Or it can also be that you didn't close those particular bonds correctly. Either the top or bottom hasn't been closed and water has got in the bond and then it slides down. But it is normal to lose about 10-20 in a 3 month period.
