I've bleached my daughters hair from 6 base (coloured)using 6%. The roots have lifted to a pale yellow fine, but the lengths and ends are an orangy-pink colour. I don't want to use any more bleach on it as it's already snapping. Can anyone recommend something to tone it to get rid of the orangy-pink and make it all the same colour without darkening. I normally use wella but right now will just about try anything lol. I've attached a pic to give you an idea of what i'm dealing with. Any help would be grateful.

Your only option really is to lighten you could neutralise the tones but you would still have an un even result in my opinion. What's it like dry?

You will have to darken it to achieve even coverage...nothing will tone the ends to the roots as they aren't as light...

I'm not very knowledgeable about wella but I'd say go all over with a 9 in colour touch...not sure on the tone needed as I don't use it. If you can convert from loreal to wella, I'd use a 9,13 on the roots and a 9,01 on the ends (I think...got a headache and my heads not functioning lol)

what tone is in 9/01(l'oreal)? is that ash?

Do you think if I toned it with colourtouch 10/81 or 10/89 it would kill the orange a bit?

It is ash, yes. But because it's violet ash, when you look at the colour wheel.. Because you have a lot of yellow tones, the purple will cancel out the yellow so you will get a nice 9 x

There is no way you will tone that evenly with anything on a base 10 or 9. You'd really need to lighten it further or use probably at least a base 7! 9.01 is a blue ash not violet. Honestly though no base 9 or 10 toner is gonna even that out, sorry! :)

that was the colour of my hair i had to go back to a base 7 it was the only option i had to even out and had pre pig roots ots now a copper colour used wella colour touch so it not as harsh on my hair x

What colour was you trying to achieve? And why did u go in with a full head of bleach? Was there no other way of doing it a little less harsher? If it's snapping I'd give it a good trim and use some decent treatments before re-colouring her hair xxx

Bleach and 6 will never lift a base 6 tint to blonde, also I'm guessing u tool it roots to ends in 1 take or roots first? X

I stripped previous colour out first (was black semi but had previously be bleached on midlengths and ends underneath it) then applied bleach and 6% to midlengths and ends first left for 15 mins then did roots. Didn't want to use a higher peroxide due to previous bleaching. the roots are quite yellow but the midlengths and ends are really orangy. Just didn't want to leave the bleach on any longer. Was trying to get to level 9 ash blonde.

If its already in awful condition you will need to compromise! You're never gonna get a level 9 ash blonde ! It needs looking after! Lots if treatments and then maybe a quasi(probably a base 6).

Try a violet toned colour on it, this should help when attempting to lift in a few months xoxo
