High lifts!

Helllooo, I have a lady who has 911 majiblonde but as she is mid 50s she is now feeling it's not natural for her and would like to tone it down a shade and I'm stuck with what to do? Should I use a 10.1? Her roots are still very dark grey so worried nothing will lift. I suggested foils bt she doesn't want the roots in between! Hellppp x

Tone it down but still ash? 10.1 all over with 911 foils?

depends what base she is naturally for the 10.1 to lift, if shes to dark its not going to work, maybe suggest a golden high lift instead or keep the 911 in foil and tone all the rest with a something on the level of an 8?

I'm presuming she is about a base 6? X

Yes base 6. She doesn't want to go dark but but doesn't want gold. She loves the ash but this highlifts look to fake on her now and as she's older shes had a few nasty remarks about it so wud like to tone down just a shade but I'm worried 10.1 won't lift xxxx

Well 10.1 and 911 look optically similar,aube 10.1/2 .1?

Have you thought of using the usual colour and then using another colour like 9.2 to tone it back a bit? It's what i used to do with my hair but using bleach not high lift (base 2 so no high lift can get that light without te gold) until I learned to love the colour it goes without a toner. Xoxo
